How prevalent is the disease in the population?

It is unknown the exact number of occurrence of Fragile X Syndrome, but recent statistics show that it is affected in:

• 1 in 2000 boys


• 1 in 4000 girls are estimated to be affected.


• 1 in 260 women are carriers.
